Foro Nacional por Colombia is a decentralized non-governmental civil organization with national coverage, founded in 1982 with the purpose of creating the conditions for the exercise of active citizenship with the capacity to influence public affairs, through applied research, training, advice and support to organizations, networks, social movements and state entities, public deliberation, dissemination and advocacy, in fields such as citizen participation, decentralization, public management, extractive activities and peace building. From the field of Governance of the Extractive Sector we work mainly in the analysis, generation of proposals and support to state institutions and citizens, in order to promote a democratic management of natural resources, and the promotion of a post-extractivist agenda.
