The purpose of this document is to refer to the experience of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) in Colombia, in order to offer an interpretation of the EITI process in the country until July 2014 and, in particular, of the role played by civil society organizations, led since 2012 by the National Forum for Colombia Foundation (Fundación Foro Nacional por Colombia).
